Nepal : Trekking round Manaslu In November 2005 i started with three friends a trekking tour round Manaslu. For this one need a special permit which is only issued for guided and organised tour by a registered agency. So my personal friend Bachan Rai had to go to an agency which issued us the necessary papers. But in fact everythind was organised by him.
The Manaslu massif is lying about 100 km west of Kathmandu between Ganesh and Annapurna Himal. if you are going the Annapurna round trek you can see it in the east. North of it , the river Buddhi Gandaki, sometimes called also Burri Gandaki has its source to head south through a formidable and long gorge.
The Manaslu trek: I wrote our one page for each day. Other people may have a very different schedule. As we were trekking in The end of November/beginning of December, Days were very short on often we had to stop pretty early at 4 PM, not knowing if we would safely reach our planning sleeping place before darkness.
