Nepal is dividet in three zones:
The terrai
In the south are the lowland of the terrai. They are part oft the gangetic plain and lower than 200 m above see level.
Here you will find the tipical north indian climate. Till the 50-this malaria was widespread and the population was not dense. Aftter malaria was brought down many people came from the hill regions.
The hills
North of the terrai ther are two distinct hill randes. First the sivalik hills, green an about 500 m hight. Then rise the Mahabharata hills, up to 3000 m . When you approach
Kathmandu, the planes are litteraly shaving the mahabharata range and you can recognise the houses of the farmes and the people working in the fields.
The middle of Nepal is a hilly Landscape, with the hills between 300 and 3000 m. The hills up to 1500 m are mainly inhabited by hindu cast people, while above you will find the so called hill tribes.
The mountains
This is what most of tourist think about, when they hear Nepal. The mountains of Nepal are deffinitively uniqu in the world.
Ther are streched in the north and quiet a few of the biggest form the frontier with tibet. In Nepal groups of Mountains form huge Mountain ranges of 50 Km .
